As a merchant, if your customer can not immediately place an order, you may like to know what products they are interested in. Typically, customers place quotes to indicate interest in products prior to placing an order.
Experlogix Digital Commerce Platform integrates seamlessly with your ERP through a web service calls. SalesRep’s Quotations feature uses web service calls to save your customer's quote data into your ERP, to retrieve that quote and to convert those quotes into sales orders.

Enterprise Resource Platform (ERP)
(ERP), a collection of your critical business operating systems, such as product, stock levels, financial, customers, suppliers and so on that run on the same platform.

a sales document generated by the seller in response to a buyer requesting information about a set of specific products. It is typically the first step in the sales process.
Visible product
a product whose status is set to Visible, which means that the product can be viewed and purchased by your customers.
Web service
service that allows two disparate systems communicate with each other via a standard messaging system.

Create a quote

There are two ways to create a quotation in SalesRep.
Option 1
Click on Accounts ( ). This opens the Accounts screen from where you can select the customer account to open.
Click on the Customer. This opens the customer account.
Click on at the bottom right of the screen. This icon is available on all tabbed screens in the customer’s account.
Select New Quotation. This opens the Order Overview screen from where you can add items and follow the process to confirm your quote.
Option 2
Follow the step by step guide to Placing an order in SalesRep. On the Confirm Order screen, select Quotation as the Order Type.
Click Submit. This displays a pop-up dialog box requesting you confirm that you wish to add a sales quote.
Click OK to confirm. The order is placed in your ERP as a quote. It is visible on the Quotation List screen.
Click Cancel to return to the Confirm Order screen.
View a list of quotes
View
To view a list of quotes for a specific customer:
Click Accounts ( ) on the left side menu. This opens a list of customers.
Click on the customer whose quotes you wish to view. This opens the customer’s account details.
Click Quotes on the top menu. This opens a list of quotes that have been added to the customer's account on the ERP.
To refresh the list of quotes, click( ). This returns the latest list of quotes.
Search, filter and sort quotes
Search and sort
To search for a specific quote, enter the search term and click Enter. This searches the current view for your search term.
To filter quotes by their status, click the status you wish to filter on from the status filter drop-down menu. By default, the only option in this menu is “All”. Configure your status mappings in Management Interface to see all configured statuses. Read Configuring how status messages are displayed on Quote Details screenfor more information.
To sort the quotes, click on the column heading you wish to sort by. The table rows are sorted into either ascending - descending or descending - ascending order.
View quote details

Click View to the right of the quote you wish to view. This opens the Quote Details view.

Convert a quote to a sales order
Convert
Click Convert to Order to change the quote to an order. This opens the Convert Quote to Order screen.
Complete the screen with contact, delivery and order details. You may also have to provide a digital signature if that has been defined as a mandatory field.
Click Convert. This updates the quote to a sales order and places it in your ERP in real-time. The quote is removed from the Quote Listing screen. It is listed as an order on the Order History screen.
Print quote

Click Print Quote to print the quote.
