Understanding multi-buy offers in WebShop
Purpose and scope
The Multi-buy Offer feature allows you to create offers that are likely to increase the amount and value of orders that are placed by your customers. You can configure three types of multi-buy offers in Management Interface:
Manual selection - "Buy X and get Y free", where you can specify the number (X) of products that must be purchased before Y (a configurable product) is free from a configurable subset of your products
Cheapest free - "Buy X and the cheapest product is free", where you can specify the number (X) of products that must be purchased before the cheapest product is free from a configurable subset of your products
Trigger quantity - "Buy X and W free", where you can specify the number (X) of products that must be purchased before W (a configurable number) of products in your customer's cart are free from a configurable subset of your products.
With each offer type, you can specify an automatic start and end date. If no dates are specified, then the offer is available immediately.
All multi-offers are available in WebShop.
This feature guide explains how to create, manage and remove offers in your Management Interface:
Remember to click Save once you create, edit or delete a multi-buy offer unless you have specified a future start date.
Any changes you make and save are immediately available in WebShop.
Benefits
Key benefits are:
Create offers for your customers that are likely to improve the amount and value of orders placed
Plan and manage your product strategy in advance using the automatic start and end date option. This means that once you have your offers set up, you can be assured that your customers will get great deals on your eCommerce site automatically.
Once you have set up your offers, free products are automatically added to your customer’s cart in WebShop. Your customers do not have to search for and add these products manually.
Visible messaging on the WebShop checkout page lets your customer know what offers are active when they are placing their orders.
