How do I apply badges to multiple products at the same time?

Purpose and scope

Do you want to add promotional badges, such as “Just arrived!“, “On Sale” or “Back in stock” to products in your catalogue without having to update your current product images? Our Product Badges feature allows you to add up to four images - one at each corner of your existing product image quickly and easily.

Once set up is complete, you can either apply badges to individual products using our product administration tool or multiple products using our import / export spreadsheet feature.

This feature guide provides a step by step guide on how to use our spreadsheet import / export functionality to import and apply badges to multiple products simultaneously.

Key points

We recommend that you read Understanding product administration in WebShop to understand how the import / export spreadsheet feature operates and Applying badges to product pages for more information on this feature before following the steps outlined in this guide.

Step 2: Create spreadsheet

Create spreadsheet to import

Use our product import / export spreadsheet feature to quickly import products and the badges you wish to apply to each one.

  • Either manually create a spreadsheet with the information you wish to import. The spreadsheet contains nine columns:

    • Column A: Product code (SKU) - a list of product identifiers you wish to connect, where the first product code is the product that all other products are related to.

    • Column B & C: badge image filename and first badge image location

    • Column D & E: badge image filename and second badge image location

    • Column F & G: badge image filename and third badge image location

    • Column H & I: badge image filename and fourth badge image location

    • Select Export tab.

    • Click Badges. This downloads a spreadsheet containing current product codes, badge images and locations.
