How do I add an extra tab containing product information to a single product?

Do you have extra product information that you'd like to share with your customers? One way you can add extra information and display it as a tab on a single product page in your catalogue is to use a feature contained in the Extended Tab of the product administration tool.

This article provides a step by step guide on how to add extra product information that is specific to a single product, and display it as a tab on the detailed product screen.

Key points

Typically, your product catalogue is fully integrated with your ERP. If this is the case, we recommend that you create, update or remove products from your product catalogue in your ERP. Changes made in your ERP are uploaded as part of the scheduled and regular import of your product data.

Step by step

Step 1: Log into Management Interface

Log in

Log into Management Interface using your username and password. This opens the dashboard of your Management Interface.

Step 2: Open product administration

Open

Click Catalogue on the left hand menu. This opens Product Administration, from where you can manage your product catalogue.

Step 3: Open product

Open
  • Click Products. This opens a listing of products in your catalogue.

  • Locate the product you wish to update.

  • Click the Edit icon to the right of the product. This opens the product administration tool.

Step 4: Add an extra tab

Add
  • Select Extended tab, and scroll down to an heading called “Extra Tab Heading 1”.

  • Enter the tab heading, and use the content editor to add extra information about your product.

  • Click Save.

Remember that changes are immediately visible in WebShop.

Step 5: Verify changes

What does my customer see in WebShop?

The extra tab is visible beside the Product Description tab on the detailed product screen in WebShop.

Example

I want to add a new tab called More Information on product code XDC50
  • Use the Search feature on Products listing to find product - XDC50.

  • Click the Edit icon to the right of the product to open the product administration tool. Select the Extended tab and scroll down to an heading called “Extra Tab Heading 1”.

  • Enter “More Information” as the tab heading, and use the content editor to add extra information about this product.

  • Click Save in the top right of the screen.

  • Verify that your changes are visible in WebShop.
