Integrating a payment gateway
Purpose and scope
A payment gateway is a service that allows you to securely accept and authorize credit or debit card payments. Integrating one into your new or existing WebShop is another way to Sell Smarter! It provides you with an additional payment method for your customers and is a safe and secure way of processing credit and debit card payments.
This guide lists payment gateway integration options available with WebShop.
Key points
Each payment gateway has pros and cons. As a merchant, you will need to evaluate them and determine which best suits your business and processes.

Fitting it all together
Once configured, your payment gateway is integrated seamlessly into your customer's checkout experience. Typically, we redirect the customer to a "hosted payments page," where their card details are captured and processed. Once payment has been processed and finalized, the gateway redirects the customer back to your Web Shop.
