Getting started with Digital Commerce Platform

Welcome to Experlogix Digital Commerce

Digital Commerce platform is the core of our product suite. Using bespoke web services, it

  • integrates in real-time with your Enterprise Resource Platform (ERP)

  • provides connectivity to various digital marketplaces on one secure and robust platform

It includes its own hosting environment (known as a ‘cloud’). Once it has been set up, you can add WebShop, Management Interface, Mobile Apps and Multi-channel products.

Experlogix Digital Commerce is a SaaS product

Experlogix Digital Commerce is a SaaS product.

This means that it includes all of the support, regular feature updates, and security monitoring required so that no customer is left behind on older, insecure software and you can concentrate on your core business function.

Of course you can still opt for additional professional services to help you with extensions, migration and roll-out.

What is Experlogix Digital Commerce?

Experlogix Digital Commerce is a SaaS product, providing real-time access to your ERP, allowing you to manage your business operations quickly and efficiently.

WebShop is an integrated B2B or B2C web portal that provides real time access to product, price and stock levels, with the possibility of gated logins, micro-sites and more. You can select to make it gated, meaning that your customers must have a login to order, check stock and manage their account.

Management Interface is the control center for Digital Platform, WebShop, Mobile Apps and Multi-channel allowing you to configure these products as necessary.

Mobile Apps products include SalesRep and PocketShop.

SalesRep is a cloud-based product designed for tablet. It is a B2B sales app, designed to help your field sales reps and in-store assistants to Sell Smarter! It is designed with a simple interface that allows your team carry out their tasks in an efficient and timely way. SalesRep operates either online or offline.

PocketShop is a mobile application that is designed to work on your Android or iOS mobile phone. It is a B2B sales app designed to help your customers Sell Smarter! It is designed with a simple interface that allows your customers access their product catalogue, place orders and manage their accounts in an efficient and timely way.

Multi-channel products include Order Punchout, Brightpearl Purchase Order Portal and Catalogue API

Order Punchout allows you to embed a WebShop within your customer’s procurement system. It allows your customer’s to compile and punchout orders, follow their internal approval processes, and place the order in real-time into your ERP without leaving their eProcurement system.

Brightpearl Purchase Order Portal is an integration with Experlogix Digital Commerce that provides Brightpearl customers with a Customer Portal and a Purchase Order Portal.

Catalogue API is a set of API endpoints that allow you to share your product, pricing and stock data with your authorized resellers in a fast and efficient way.

SmartPacks and Add-Ons extend the Digital Commerce product with collections of extra features that are designed for your industry sector.

The SmartPacks we offer are:

  • Builders Merchants SmartPack

  • Machinery and Spare Parts SmartPack

  • Digital Marketing SmartPack includes integration with Google Shopping, Klaviyo and Flockler.

The Add-Ons we offer are:

  • Uniform Management is an Add-On that allows you to configure product sets, such as uniforms or items associated with a particular department, that can be ordered and re-ordered within an organization. Orders are placed in real-time into your ERP using WebShop’s functionality. Each product in a product set can have different options associated with it.

(Saas), is software deployed as a hosted service over the Internet. You can customise and configure SaaS applications through a web user interface.

How it fits together

Before we delve into more details of Digital Commerce Platform, a common understanding of terms and concepts is required.

Cloud computing is an information technology model that offers services on demand over the Internet.1 Services, such as Digital Commerce Platform and its additional products, can be deployed and used in real time using smartphones, tablets or desktops, irrespective of where you are located or when you wish to access them.2

Software as a Service (SaaS) is defined as ‘software deployed as a hosted service over the Internet’3. As the end user, you are provided with a web user interface into hosted software services. Typically, development is not possible but customization or configuration of the software is.

Digital Commerce Platform is hosted and runs in a cloud-based environment. It comprises a platform that contains a suite of SaaS products that you can use, either alone or in combination with each other.  This means that for you, as a merchant, you can be sure it is secure, compliant, real time and supported.

There is a minimum set up required in order to use Experlogix Digital Commerce.

You must implement Digital Commerce Platform prior to adding on other products. Speak to us about what is the minimum product set to get started.

Once deployed, Digital Commerce Platform can be accessed via an Internet browser by your administrator working in your sales/marketing office, your field sales representatives and your customers, using laptop, Android or iOS tablet or mobile devices depending on what products you have deployed.

Experlogix Digital Commerce is a SaaS product

Provides you with a hosted eCommerce application that has real time integration to your ERP. Through its Management Interface, it has account, product and content management and more, accessible through a web user interface.

ERP Integration

Integrates with your ERP allowing for real time price and stock checks, product catalogue changes and account management.

Supports online and offline operation

Operates in online or offline mode, depending on Internet availability. When online, real-time connectivity for product, stock and pricing information is provided.  When offline, the latest product, stock and pricing information contained in your Digital Commerce product is used.

Centralized product catalogue

Prices, products, customers and contacts can be managed from your central ERP and updated in Experlogix Digital Commerce in real time.

Order management and processing

Comprehensive search, browse and filter options that allow your customers to quickly find the products they want.

Streamlined order and Checkout process for your customers to place orders into your ERP in real-time, reducing time and transcription errors.

View order history within Management Interface.

Branding

Products can be tailored to reflect your company and brand. For both WebShop and PocketShop, you can manage banners, page layout and more from the Management Interface. For PocketShop, you can also specify the colour scheme for banners, logos, app icon and app title during set up.

Payment options

Set up credit limits for your customer in your ERP and apply them in real-time in Digital Commerce. Or integrate a payment gateway for immediate payment when your customer places their order.

Extend your WebShop

Access Digital Commerce App Store which lists many third party apps, such as Single Sign-on, Google Analytics, Reviews.io and more that can be integrated with WebShop to provide a fuller user experience for your customers.
